Praise For Zadie Smith

“Like Forster, Smith possesses a captivating authorial voice, giving us that rare thing: a novel that is as affecting as it is entertaining, as provocative as it is humane.”
—Michiko Kakutani, The New York Times

“As anyone who has read Zadie Smith’s first two novels, White Teeth and The Autograph Man, will know, she possesses the deftest of animating touches and has a wonderful ear for nuance ... She can also orchestrate a scene brilliantly: its moments of friction; its contemplative drifts; its sudden changes of mood.”
—John Preston, The Telegraph
